Why do i need to quit Facebook?

When I get stuck in traffic, the first thing i do is log into Facebook.  When i open my macbook the first thing i do i signing into Facebook. Facebook had become a habit where i will log on when i wake up, "like", send birthday wishes,  log off, get ready to work, log on  while having breakfast, scroll through the newsfeed, like! like ! like! log out. Then log on again when i get stuck in traffic on my way to work, log off. The pattern repeats during my lunch, on my way back home and also dinner and before heading to bed.  Consciously or unconsciously my mind has started to compare my life with others. I personally felt like all my friends are having wonderful time and i am living a boring life.  The grass is always greener on the other side . I realised that, i don't really "connect" with my friends when i log into Facebook. I have realised that Facebook  does not make me happy.  I took a pen and wrote down why i should quit Facebook. Here are the reasons.

Lowers down self-esteem
- Facebook makes you to compare yourself with your friends. For instance, when a girl gets a Louis Vuitton handbag and she posts the picture of it in Facebook, or goes for a trip with her partner to Krabi or Maldives while you are sitting in the room all alone after long day of work. You will compare your life with your Facebook friends.  That will demotivate you and you might even feel like a loser when your friends post to many cool pictures are your posts are not as cool as them.

Time Killer
- Being on Facebook and scrolling down through the news feed kills to much of our time and we don't even realise the time we actually spend looking at other people's life events.

Not all your "friends" are not real friends
-Try to look at the number of friends you have on Facebook. How many of them are really good friends? How many of them will talk to you when they see you in person? Even though there are some people who are genuinely friends with you in Facebook. There will be always some "friends" who add you to see your moments of your life.

Waiting for people to "like" you

-There are people who upload pictures and then wait to get "like" on Facebook. When they don't get enough likes, they feel bad. They feel insecure. You should understand that the "likes" are not real likes. Facebook "likes" is not an indicator to show how beautiful / popular you are.
